7 chakras

Why are human chakra colors so important?

To begin with, let’s say that color plays an important role in our life. We choose clothes and shoe, wallpaper for rooms, and sometimes even food being guided by this parameter. The prevalence of some shades comes into resonance with our inner "Self", affects our mood and well-being.

Depending on the latter there change the colors of energy centers - up to a certain range, of course. So, if the bright red shade of the root chakra indicates a surge of sexual energy, then its darker "variation" indicates there is a strong fear in your soul. To adjust and balance the chakras, you need to return them to their natural color - for example, by surrounding yourself with appropriate shades.

 How chakras work

Chakras are called special areas in the human energy structure through which energy is exchanged with the outside world. That is, a person can receive from the outside the spectra of energy that are important for his body and at the same time share own energy information.

Thus, through the centers called chakras, both energy and information are exchanged between a person and the environment.

How can this be explained in simple terms? The amount of energy that enters the body along with food is very small compared to the total amount required for normal life. A person is not able to consume more than 2-3kg of food per day, and this amount

provides only 10-15% (up to 20% max) of the required chemical energy. In addition, food is used for the body cells regeneration.

If a person had no opportunity to receive energy other than with food, then we would have to eat at least 40kg of food daily. However, this doesn’t happen in real life. So where do people get the rest of their energy from? We receive it through the energy centers, called chakras, through which a person receives the necessary for life energy from the outside world. Without this, our existence would simply become impossible.

Regardless of the human chakras color, their significance lies in the fact that they act as centers through which people "feed" energy and at the same time give out the already processed energy. By the way, it can be absorbed by any object of the surrounding world, both living (plants and animals) and non-living (minerals, stones). Moreover, people can exchange their energy with each other.

Chakras structure and their position in human body

So, what chakras a human has, what is their color and location. By its structure, chakra is a cone with a diameter of 3-5cm. It continuously rotates, enters the body with a sharp end and its top is joined to the spine which performs the function of the main energy channel.  The human chakras colors are shown in the image below and here is a list of their names:

Sahasrara (the seventh chakra) – it is the highest one and is located in the parietal zone.

Ajna (the sixth one) - also located in the head area, in the very center of the forehead. Vishuddha (the fifth) – located in the throat area, where the thyroid gland is.

Anahata (the fourth) – the central one, is opposite the heart.

Manipura (the third) – it’s located in the navel area.

Svadhisthana (the second) – is opposite the pubis.

Muladhara (the first) – the one located in the perineum.

Chakras affect the systems and organs in the area of their location, provide them with the outside world energy and, at the same time, release the already spent energy. This ensures a balanced energy flow in the body. This process can be compared to breathing when a person inhales the oxygen necessary for life, and exhales the needless carbon dioxide.

7 main human chakras: their colors and meaning

Traditional chakra system distinguishes seven main chakras, although in reality the human body has much more of them. The seven main ones are those related to the most important areas. The colors of the human chakras (each has its own) are individual and they kind of reflect special pulsation of each of them.

If you never paid attention to the structure of the universe before, then take a closer look now, everything is based on the laws of mathematics and geometry. There are seven notes in music, seven days in a week, seven main chakras, then seven significant planets and even seven colors in the rainbow. Before, Isaac Newton identified seven primary colors in a continuous spectrum, which turned out to be the same as the colors of the chakras.

It has been found out that if you meditate for a long time and systematically, learn to concentrate, you would be able to see what color person's chakras are and see them shine.

red chakra

1. Muladhara (red chakra).

The color is quite strong, richer than others; it is mainly associated with lower vibrations. The red chakra is also called the root chakra. A bright red shade speaks of great sexual energy, but if the color is closer to dark, then it reflects aggressiveness, even fear, and can slow down the spiritual development of its owner. Here are the qualities that red color reflects: Emotional warmth; Solid asculinity; Striving for rebirth; Lust for life.

Svadhisthana orange chakra

 2. Svadhisthana (orange).

Orange means sacredness and the name of the color comes from the Arabic language and can be translated as "fruit". Orange is softer than red and in deciphering the colors of the human chakras means the following: Joy, great emotionality; Happy outlook on life; Activity, positive attitude. Orange and any of its shades have a positive effect, help to cope with depression, relax, feel ease in movements and throughout the body. If you have orange things (objects) in your wardrobe or home environment, it will definitely contribute to well-being and positive emotions formation.

Manipura yellow chakra

3. Manipura (yellow).

It closely interacts with the solar plexus area. Yellow is very inspiring, warms you, and resembles in its appearance the warm rays of the sun. The yellow chakra in human body means the following: Intelligence and spacious mind; Momentum for decisive action; Has a beneficial effect on the skin; Soothes the nerves.

Anahata green chakra

4. Anahata (green).

Green is located in the very middle of the rainbow. On the body, it is also located almost in the very center and is responsible for the heart chakra. Green personifies harmony, a balanced state of all areas of human life. It acts as follows: Helps to balance the positive and negative things in life; Harmoniously unites mind, body and soul; Has a calming effect, promotes relaxation; Enables to reveal your feelings and manifest in love. The green chakra for a person is the path to healing and open, sincere love, in which no one demands anything, but is only ready to understand and accept the feelings of others and share their own.

Vishhuda blue chakra

5. Vishhuda (blue).

Vishhuda is located in the throat area and is closely interrelated with it. It symbolizes silence, serenity, and inspiration. The surrounding space seems to become wider under the influence of blue, and seems to be more than it really is. It is characterized by the following qualities: Helps to relax and makes you less susceptible to stress (both physical and psychological); Opens the ways for spiritual and creative development; For Buddhists, blue means the vast expanses of the sky and cold water.

Ajna blue chakra

6. Ajna (blue).

The brow chakra which is directly associated with the third eye. It is not exactly a blue color, but rather a shade close to indigo, dark navy blue (associated with one tropical plant, hence comes the name). It’s responsible for: Development of intuitive abilities and the gift of clairvoyance; The ability to behave with dignity and show sincerity and loyalty. The blue chakra has a calming effect on a human, relieves fatigue and pain, and helps to fall asleep.

Sahasrara purple chakra

7. Sahasrara (purple).

The topmost human chakra is purple; it is also called the crown chakra. Moreover, when overlaying blue and red colors, there can be obtained two similar, but unequal shades, violet and purple. So, purple is closer to blue. Purple is found everywhere in nature. For example, these might be violet flowers, the source of violet oil which is used in perfumery. Purple color represents the following: Spirituality; Purity of thoughts; Restraint and chastity; Striving for faith; Lenity. For a person striving for uppermost spiritual development, it is important to open exactly the purple chakra.

7 ways to open and clear chakras

What to do if the chakras are blocked? How does the opening and clearing of human chakras work, regardless of their color? How can you launch the free flow of cosmic energy throughout the body?

There are several effective practices:

  1.  Immersion in meditation.
  2.  Doing yoga.
  3.  Pranayama respiratory gymnastics.
  4.  Sound influence with the help of mantras.
  5.  Influence through crystals.
  6.  Items of clothing. Make it a routine wearing things of the chakra color, that is, orange, red, etc. Or you can wear them specifically for meditation. It is good if they also have symbolic images of the chakras on.
  7.  A piece of interior. This might also be very “effective” when you need to get rid of blocks and clear channels. What kind of things could this be? Well, it could be drawings, mandalas, woven "dream catchers" and much more. Handcrafted items work best. However, the most important thing that should always come first – this is your exact deeds and actions. Just do good, share your love with others, don't let yourself get angry, be generous, eat healthy food, work and live in peace with other people.
